The Mint has been a fixture in Enumclaw longer than anyone alive now can even remember. There was a brief time when the name was The Lemon Tree but for most of the Alehouse’s existence in town the name was The Mint.
Originally, The Mint opened across the street as a stick built building on the corner of Cole and Griffin until a fire swept through town prompting a relocation to the brick building you see today. For many years it was a bar for 21 and older to enjoy one of the 28 beers on tap or maybe a Framboise cider. We would come in for the Tide Flat Sub or a French dip and a cold beverage talking about what a fun place it was. We always said if this place ever becomes available it would be the place to own. A few years later we got the chance! In 2013 we renovated and reimagined the Alehouse to add a full restaurant as we had a growing family to bring to work with us. It’s been nearly a decade now and we have only grown to appreciate the responsibility, history, and sense of community even more. There are more great stories about The Mint and some historic photos to see and hear about when you stop in and grab a beer or a bite to eat. Ask your service team, several have been with us from the beginning!
We have the absolute best community in Enumclaw and it’s an honor to serve both our locals and visitors passing through for some hospitality. Thank you sincerely for your business!
